Health Coaching is a developing field making real changes in peoples’ health. For decades health care providers have preached lifestyle changes, taught about proper exercise and diets, and pleaded with patients to create healthy living. Why isn’t everyone healthy then? Everyone knows eating fast foods, using tobacco, being sedentary is BAD for you, and yet we continue to do it! WHY? Because KNOWING what to do and DOING it are completely different. Knowing is knowing, but DOING is behavior change - it is complex - wrapped up in all the behaviors you have done in the past and all the thoughts and feelings you had about those experiences. Your health coach will guide you through a WORLD OF DISCOVERY allowing you to decide confidently what health goal you will take on and the actions you will create to begin. Thus begins the journey of living healthfully. And journey you will! The Health Coaching process is a dance - discover, take action, discover - providing long term support, typically 10 sessions over 12 weeks. This structure has you powerfully make sustainable changes for your life that fit YOU.
